Jagiri, being in a remote mountainous location, lacks exposure and needs more support.

There are approximately 231 students in the school and homes, and of these, 160 kids are housed in a simple hostel facility in Jagiri. There are 94 orphan kids, for whom, HEM is the only home they know.

The basic cost of educating and maintaining one student is approximately Rs 24,000 ($320 per year). This is a modest amount – less than $1 a day!

We are facing significant challenges funding the day-to-day operational expenses. That is primarily due to Covid situation, the flow of donations has diminished.
