Your gift makes a big impact!
If you are able to support our mission with a monetary gift, please visit our DONATE page. But it's not only cash donations that matter — in-kind donations play a major role.
Donations in kind help us to reduce the amount of money we need to raise to keep our programs going. As we are training our children to become independent and self-sufficient, we do not accept gift giving directly to children but can assure you that all donations in kind will be used as part of our regular programs and services.
We welcome donations in kind of the following items:
- New or used clothes especially children's clothing including socks.
- Groceries. The major items require are rice, flour, oil and dal (Lentils)
- Children's shoes - school shoes, sports shoes, slippers (flip-flops), rubber sneakers
- Toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, soap
- Sanitary pads and napkins
- New and used Toys
- New and used Books
- Computers and Tablets with cam
- Stationary like Pencils, crayons, paper, scissors, glue, paste, art supplies and geometry
boxes - Quality children's books (no text books or school books please!)
- Bedsheets, towels, curtains
- Bicycles
- School bags or backpacks
- Kitchen utensils - plates, bowls, cups, cutlery
- Office and school furniture

We accept used clothes (except for innerwear) as long as they are in good condition. Donations in kind can be dropped off at any of our centers in Jagiri, Valsad or Surat. In very rare instances pick-up may be possible.
For our friends overseas, please contact us before sending any donations directly to us so we can discuss whether donation in kind is the best option as it can cost us a lot of money to receive donations from overseas. A donation in kind may not be a good option if the cost of shipping the donated goods to an overseas location is greater than the cost of sourcing the same goods locally. In this case, a cash donation is definitely preferable.
